Meet Our CTO

Dr. Nghia Nguyen-Trong, Ph.D.

    Dr. Nghia Nguyen-Trong holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Adelaide, where he received the Doctoral Research Medal. As an expert in microwave circuits and advanced antenna technologies, his work focuses on innovations in 5G, IoT, wearable and reconfigurable antennas.

    Formerly a Senior Lecturer at The University of Adelaide, Dr. Nguyen-Trong now serves as CTO at Nextwaves Industries. His numerous accolades include Best Student Paper Awards and Best Paper Awards at various prestigious international conferences on antennas and propagation. In 2021, he was listed among Australia's Top 40 Early Career Researchers by The Australian, one of the most widely read daily newspapers in Australia.

    Dr.Nghia Nguyen-Trong has published 25 papers in the IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, the top journal in antenna technology. Overall, with over 100 high-impact publications, and pioneering antenna designs, including reconfigurable and wearable antennas for 5G and IoT applications, Dr. Nguyen-Trong’s contributions are shaping the future of communications technology at Nextwaves.
